Sub-conjunctival Hemorrhage PDF Print E-mail

Sub-conjunctival HemorrhageRed eye that can occur suddenly. May be associated with eye rubbing, trauma, “strain” as in lifting heavy object, vomiting, hard sneeze or cough. It looks scary but will not cause any damage to vision. Typically goes away in approximately 2 weeks.  More common in people who are taking blood thinners (e.g. Coumadin®, Plavix®, ibuprofen, etc.)
