Ocular migraine: Not to be confused with the flashes seen with retinal pathology, ocular migraines are often described as “jagged light” or “heatwave” phenomena which may persist for up to an hour at a time and may interfere with vision. They do not represent problem with the eyes. They are associated with migraines without the typical headache or nausea.
